Invitation to Participate in the Meeting

The Institute of Oceanography of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR), the Institute for Sustainable Development of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), and the Unit for Programming, Coordination, and Monitoring of the National Smart Specialization Strategy (MON-ESEE) of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, in the context of the European initiatives BLUE ECOSYSTEM and BLUEMISSIONMED, are pleased to announce the launch of the Greek TRAIN Labs and extend an open invitation to public, private, and research sector stakeholders to participate in an important meeting for dialogue, idea exchange, and collaboration.

The meeting, titled “Innovation for the Protection of the Marine Environment,” will focus on the regional challenges facing Greece’s marine ecosystem. It will also introduce the framework of the Transformative Innovation Labs (TRAIN Labs) – cross-sectoral collaboration labs designed as accelerators of change, aiming to foster innovation and implement sustainable policies and investments in the blue economy across the Greek regions.

This event also marks the launch of an open call for the submission of innovative ideas and technological solutions that contribute to improved marine resource management and enhanced local and regional development.
