Last 18 and 19 of June 2024, the BLUE ECOSYSTEM project joined all the thematic community projects for two combined events promoted by the Gov4Innovation initiative of the Interreg Euro-Med Innovative Sustainable Economy mission, namely, the Launch of the Community of Practice for projects and the very first edition of the Med Innovation Day!
DAY 1: An inspiring opportunity to discover more about what Thematic Projects have in common
After an ice-breaker activity, thematic projects were divided into two clusters, allowing them to get to know each other and explore synergies through an interactive workshop.
BLUE ECOSYSTEM currently belongs to the “Marine Resources” cluster, where its high-level focus on innovation identification and the transformative lab approach makes it an ideal supporting project for complementing, amplifying and involving the results of other applied projects in the cluster, including offshore wind energy, aquaculture and biotech solutions based on algae. After establishing a working group based on cluster synergies, the BLUE ECOSYSTEM team will seek out new productive ways to collaborate with akin projects!
DAY 2: The MED Innovation Day
The second day, brought BLUE ECOSYSTEM project to participate in a world café session for jointly envisioning the challenges and action to achieve an Innovative Sustainable Economy-inspired Mediterranean scenario. It was also invited to a series of awards and panel discussions celebrated in light of European Waste Reduction Week.

The next partnership meeting will take place in October in Portugal to discuss about the progress of the activities. Stay tuned to our social media for all the news 😊.
